Tegaderm is a sterile transparent film dressing that can be used to cover and protect catheter accesses and wounds. Breathable film - lets in oxygen and lets out moisture. Tegaderm Film can be used to cover and protect catheter accesses and wounds, keep the skin moist during wound healing and fix devices to the skin. Thanks to its waterproof sterile barrier, it protects intravenous accesses or wounds from external contamination, such as e.g. bacteria, viruses, blood and body fluids. In vitro tests show that the transparent film provides a virus barrier against viruses 27 nm or larger, as long as the dressing is intact and does not leak.
